Through the lens of 15 year old Lucy Cannon, the daughter of William and Jane Shipp Cannon, Lucy chronicles her families daily life during the Civil War when troops occupied the town of Natchez, Mississippi. Lucy's diary and sketchbook are on display at the Maryland Historical Society in Baltimore, Maryland. Additional copies of the diary are available for purchase at Glenfield.
